BODIES BODIES BODIES stars Amandla Stenberg (The Darkest Minds, The Hate U Give), Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, Transgression), Pete Davidson (The Suicide Squad, The King of Staten Island), Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby, “Call Your Mother”), Myha’la Herrold (“Industry”, Plan B), Chase Sui Wonders (On The Rocks, “Generation”), and Lee Pace (“Pushing Daisies”, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 1).

The film is directed by Halina Reijn (Goltzius and the Pelican Company, “Red Light”). The film is written by Kristen Roupenian (Cat Person), Sarah Delappe (Beverly), Chloe Okuno (Watcher, Slut), Joshua Sharp, and Aaron Jackson.

The film is produced by David Hinojosa (Alice + Freda Forever, Love Child), Ali Herting, Lara Costa-Calzado (Selah and the Spades, The Roads Not Taken), and Tatiana Bears (Never Rarely Sometimes Always, “Chillin Always”).

The film had its World Premiere on March 14, 2022, at SXSW. The film will be released theatrically on August 5, 2022.

A24 is an independent film distributor that has made its name betting on the kind of quirky, artisanal movies that Hollywood generally ignores, and marketing them through unconventional means. In 2018, it built audiences and fanbases for projects as varied as Bo Burnham’s Eighth Grade, the horror film Hereditary, and Jonah Hill’s Mid90s, with a blend of zines, podcasts, film-related merchandise, and stunts designed to go viral. A24 forged a distribution deal with Apple to produce films for it. At the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, A24 was behind some of the most buzzed-about films, from its reinterpretation of Native Son to its acquisition of Awkwafina’s The Farewell.
