May 5-7 of this year finds the dead rising in Seattle at Crypticon, the largest gathering of fans of the macabre in the Pacific Northwest. Hosted by the Doubletree Hotel directly across from the Sea-Tac-International airport, this is an easy weekend getaway for those from out of town and a wonderful spot for locals who don’t want to fight downtown traffic to attend a con.

Guests include the immortal George Romero and a bevy of Living Dead cast alums including Russ Streiner, Judith O’Dea (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD), Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, Gaylen Ross (DAWN OF THE DEAD) and many more.

Also attending is the Archbishop of the netherworlds himself, Doug Bradley (HELLRAISER).

Crypticon’s new venue finds them adding a new dimension of 13th Floor Penthouse Party Suites to the mix along with their famous Friday/Saturday night Biohazard parties, “perfecting the art of drunken debauchery since 1996.”

The convention boasts a well programmed film festival featuring work that covers the spectrum of horror from Lovecraftian work to local Pacific Northwest Horror indies.

The Exhibition Hall will be filled to the bloody brim with dark trinkets and enticing gear for horror hounds, open Friday – Sunday.

Crypticon is not to be missed! Nightmarish Conjurings will be reporting from the convention and hopes to see you there!
