Netflix has revealed the official title and first look from the upcoming BIRD BOX BARCELONA, an expansion on the post-apocalyptic horror film, Bird Box.

From the producers of the global phenomenon, Bird Box, comes BIRD BOX BARCELONA, an expansion of the film that riveted audiences in 2018. After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona. As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows.

BIRD BOX BARCELONA stars Mario Casas (Palm Trees in the Snow, The Invisible Guest), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian, All My Friends Hate Me), Alejandra Howard (The Wasteland, Fatima), Naila Schuberth (“Blackout,” “Unbroken”), Diego Calva (Babylon, “Narcos: Mexico”), Patrick Criado (“Unauthorized Living,” Below Zero), Lola Dueñas (Volver, The Sea Inside), Gonzalo De Castro (“Doctor Mateo,” The Perfect Family), Michelle Jenner (“The Cook of Castamar,” “Cathedral of the Sea”) and Leonardo Sbaraglia (At The End of the Tunnel, The Manager).

The film is directed and written by Álex Pastor (The Occupant, The Last Days) and David Pastor (Carriers, Self/less).

It is produced by Dylan Clark, Chris Morgan, Núria Valls, Adrián Guerra, Josh Malerman, and Ryan Lewis. Executive producers are Ainsley Davies and Brian Williams.

BIRD BOX BARCELONA will be released exclusively on Netflix on July 14, 2023.
