[Video Interview] Amy Ryan and Nathan Lane for BEAU IS AFRAID

When you have bonafide legends like Amy Ryan and Nathan Lane attached to a project, you know there’s something special at work. Portraying Grace and Roger in Ari Aster’s latest film, BEAU IS AFRAID, the two work in tandem to hit those darkly comedic beats opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s incredibly frazzled and confused Beau. Taking lead in a chapter of their own in Beau’s journey, these two provide a subtle eeriness in tandem with their calm, pleasant exteriors.

For the release of BEAU IS AFRAID, Nightmarish Conjurings’ Sarah Musnicky chatted with Amy Ryan and Nathan Lane, where they discussed how they tackled the complexity of their characters, working with Joaquin Phoenix, and entering the mad world of Ari Aster.

Official synopsis: From his darkest fears comes the greatest adventure!

A paranoid man embarks on an epic odyssey to get home to his mother in this bold and ingeniously depraved new film from writer/director Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar).
