Moving is already a stressful activity, but it becomes even more daunting when you realize your new house is haunted. Most would try to flee to the nearest exit than deal with a haunting, but that’s not the case for the Presley family. In this day and age of social media, the Presley family realizes that they could use this opportunity as a source of revenue as well as a way to investigate Ernest and his past. However, not all goes as planned as the Presley family and Ernest become targets of a shady government agency.

For the release of WE HAVE A GHOST, Nightmarish Conjurings’ Shannon McGrew spoke with writer/director Christopher Landon where they discussed everything from why he fell in love with the original short story, “Ernest,” as well as how films such as Beetlejuice were used as inspiration for the movie.

Official Synopsis: Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin’s family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA.

WE HAVE A GHOST stars David Harbour (“Stranger Things,” Violent Night), Jahi Winston (Charm City Kings, Proud Mary), Tig Notaro (Army of the Dead, “Star Trek: Discovery), Erica Ash (“Survivor’s Remorse,” Miss Me This Christmas), Jennifer Coolidge (“The White Lotus,” A Cinderella Story), and Anthony Mackie (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” The Banker).

Based on the short story “Ernest” by Geoff Manaugh, Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) wrote and directed WE HAVE A GHOST.

WE HAVE A GHOST arrives on Netflix Friday, February 24th.
