During the San Diego Comic-Con panel this afternoon for AMC’s INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE series, the first trailer was dropped, and it does get our hopes up.

The series aims to be a modern, unforgettable retelling of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel, Interview With The Vampire. As fans will know, the first film adaptation starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise turned out to be such a success that, even to this day, it still stands out among a pack of various vampire properties as a comfort viewing for many.

Will the new series follow in its footsteps in achieving widespread love and adoration? The jury is still out. But this is a very exciting first look into the world they’ve aiming to recreate.

The series stars Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt, Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Bailey Bass as Claudia, and Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy. The series will also star Kalyne Coleman as Grace, Christian Robinson as Levi, Assad Zaman as Rashid, and Maura Grace Athari as Antoinette.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE premieres October 2nd on AMC and AMC+.
