[News] CRIMES OF THE FUTURE Arriving on Blu-ray & DVD Aug. 9

Distribution Solutions, a division of Alliance Entertainment, announced the release of NEON and DECAL’s CRIMES OF THE FUTURE coming onto Blu-ray™ and DVD August 9, 2022.

As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. With his partner, Caprice (Léa Seydoux), Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigator from the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements, which is when a mysterious group is revealed… Their mission – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.

Written and directed by David Cronenberg (The Fly, A History of Violence), the film is his directorial return to the science fiction and horror genres for the first time since the 1990s. Cronenberg pioneered the “body horror” genre involving mutation, parasites, and medical conditions.

The sci-fi thriller was recently in 500+ theaters. CRIMES OF THE FUTURE, which premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, releases on August 9, 2022, with the Blu-Ray™ and DVD now available for preorder. To learn more about the film, check out our review.
