At long last, we now have the official title for the sequel to Knives Out. Today Rian Johnson announced that the official title for the sequel is GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY.
Evocative of Agatha Christie, it’ll be fun to see how the title comes into play on Detective Benoit Blanc’s next adventure.
In the follow up to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.
GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY stars Daniel Craig (No Time to Die, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Edward Norton (Fight Club, Primal Fear), Janelle Monáe (Antebellum, Hidden Figures), Kathryn Hahn (“WandaVision“, “Crossing Jordon”), Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami, The Many Saints of Newark), Jessica Henwick (The Matrix Resurrections, Underwater), Madelyn Cline (“Outer Banks”, “The Originals”) with Kate Hudson (Almost Famous, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days) and Dave Bautista (Dune, Blade Runner 2049).
The film is written, directed, and produced by Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Looper). Ram Bergman is also a producer on the project.
GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY will be released this winter holiday season by Netflix.
