Hello, RESIDENT EVIL fans! Netflix has just dropped the official teaser trailer for the RESIDENT EVIL live-action series, which is sure to get tongues wagging. Make sure you check it out in the player below.

As a general reminder to hardcore RE fans, don’t expect this to stick to game canon entirely. While it does look like it is exploring post RE5, there is some wiggle room for off road exploring. In the meantime, keep your peepers open while watching. You might find something exciting.

Evil has evolved…

Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.

Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL series stars Lance Reddick (“Fringe”) as Albert Wesker, Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Tamara Smart (“The Worst Witch”), Siena Agudong (“Star Falls”), Adeline Rudolph (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“), and Paola Nuñez.

The series also stars Ahad Raza Mir (“Ehd-e-Wafa”), Connor Gosatti (3rd Night), and Turlough Convery (“Killing Eve”).

Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”) is the showrunner, executive producer and co-writer of Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL series. Mary Leah Sutton also serves as Executive Producer and co-writer. Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben of Constantin Film are also executive producing. Constantin Film CEO Martin Moszkowicz is a producer on the project.

The first season of Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL will have eight 1 hour-long episodes.  The brand new series will be dropped exclusively on Netflix on July 14, 2022.
