[News] Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL Series Will Chew Us Up This Summer!

After much speculation and counting down, Netflix has announced the official launch date for Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL live-action series. The brand new series will be dropped exclusively on Netflix on July 14, 2022.

To celebrate the launch date reveal, they have also dropped three fun teaser posters, which you can check out in the gallery below!

Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.

Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL series stars Lance Reddick (“Fringe”) as Albert Wesker, Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Tamara Smart (“The Worst Witch”), Siena Agudong (“Star Falls”), Adeline Rudolph (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina“), and Paola Nuñez.

The series also stars Ahad Raza Mir (“Ehd-e-Wafa”), Connor Gosatti (3rd Night), and Turlough Convery (“Killing Eve”).

Andrew Dabb (“Supernatural”) is the showrunner, executive producer and co-writer of Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL series. Mary Leah Sutton also serves as Executive Producer and co-writer. Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben of Constantin Film are also executive producing. Constantin Film CEO Martin Moszkowicz is a producer on the project.

The first season of Netflix’s RESIDENT EVIL will have eight 1 hour-long episodes. Stay tuned for fun footage coming our way soon!
