Netflix has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming action thriller BLACK CRAB, which you can check out in the player below.
Starring Noomi Rapace in a film directed by Adam Berg, BLACK CRAB follows six soldiers on a desperate mission to bring an end to the war which has destroyed their lives.
BLACK CRAB is a Swedish action thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by war. During a long, harsh winter, six soldiers embark on a covert mission across a frozen archipelago, risking their lives to transport a mysterious package that could end the war. As they enter hostile enemy territory, they have no idea what dangers lie ahead or who—if anyone—they can trust. But for speed skater turned soldier Caroline Edh, the mission is about something else entirely.
The film stars Noomi Rapace (You Won’t Be Alone, Lamb), Jakob Oftebro (The Shamer’s Daughter, The Last King), Erik Enge (“The Bridge,” Tigers), Dar Salim (“Game of Thrones,” Exodus: Gods and Kings), Ardalan Esmaili (Sea Fever, The Charmer), Aliette Opheim (“Black Lake,” “Thicker Than Water”), and David Dencik (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, “Chernobyl”).
Based on the novel of the same name by Jerker Virdborg, the film is directed by Adam Berg (Carousel, “Tales from the Loop”). Berg co-wrote the screenplay with Pelle Rådström (Schoolyard Blues, Hot Nasty Teen).
The film is produced by Malin Idevall (“Boys,” Becoming Astrid) and Mattias Montero (“Tales from the Loop,” Sons of my Country). It is executive produced by Rapace, Berg, Christopher Granier-Deferre (Lady Macbeth, County Lines), Emil Wiklund (The Unthinkable, Swoon), and Kim Magnusson (I Kill Giants, Flickering Lights).
BLACK CRAB will be released globally on Netflix on March 18, 2022.
