Lionsgate has dropped the official trailer and poster art for the upcoming disaster film, MOONFALL. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
In MOONFALL, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award® winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, “Midway”) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, “Game of Thrones”) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is.
The film stars Halle Berry (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Monster’s Ball), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring Universe, Insidious), John Bradley (“Game of Thrones”, American Satan), Michael Peña (Fantasy Island, Ant-Man and the Wasp), Charlie Plummer (All The Money in the World, Lean on Pete), Kelly Yu (One and a Half Summer, Chasing Dream), Eme Ikwuakor (“Inhumans”, “Extant”), Carolina Bartczak (An Audience of Chairs, X-Men: Apocalypse), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games franchise, Pride & Prejudice).
MOONFALL is directed by Roland Emmerich (2012, Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow). Emmerich co-wrote the screenplay with Harald Kloser (White House Down, 10,000 BC) and Spenser Cohen (Extinction, Stay). Emmerich and Kloser produced the film.
Roland Emmerich’s MOONFALL will arrive in theaters and in IMAX on February 4, 2022.
