Netflix has released a special featurette for Mike Flanagan’s highly anticipated new horror series, MIDNIGHT MASS. In the featurette, Flanagan and Executive Producer Trevor Macy go over the making of this personal horror project, with Flanagan bringing up how Riley represents a version of one of his deepest fears, and more. Make sure you check it out below and let us know what you think!

From The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan, MIDNIGHT MASS tells the tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man (Zach Gilford) and the arrival of a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). When Father Paul’s appearance on Crockett Island coincides with unexplained and seemingly miraculous events, a renewed religious fervor takes hold of the community – but do these miracles come at a price?

Created and directed by Flanagan, the seven-episode limited series also stars Kate Siegel (The Hau, Rahul Abburi (“Good Game”, Kidnapped by a Classmate), Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel (“Altered Carbon”, “The Umbrella Academy“), Alex Essoe (Starry Eyes, Death of Me), Annarah Cymone, Annabeth Gish (Mystic Pizza, “The X-Files”), Rahul Kohli (“iZombie”, Happy Anniversary), Kristin Lehman (“The Killing”, The Way of the Gun), Robert Longstreet (Doctor Sleep, Halloween Kills), Igby Rigney (F9, Joe Bell), Samantha Sloyan (“The Haunting of Hill House”, “Grey’s Anatomy”), Henry Thomas (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Gerald’s Game), and Michael Trucco (Hush).

The series is executive produced by Flanagan and Trevor Macy for Intrepid Pictures.
