Hosted by @ColmanDomingo and featuring a conversation with special guests @TananariveDue (award-winning author & UCLA Professor of Black Horror and Afrofuturism), @YoloAkili (Founder and Executive Director of BEAM “Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective”), Dr. Wendy Ashley Psy.D, LCSW (Trauma Psychotherapist, Educator and JEDI Consultant and Trainer) and @LorenzoPLewis (Activist & founder of The Confess Project “America’s First Mental Health Barbershop Movement”).
These experts will discuss the significance of CANDYMAN and how the new film invites audiences to go beyond trauma and celebrate the resiliency, vibrancy and creativity of Black culture. The special will also feature never-before-seen clips from the new film and interview highlights from director/co-writer Nia DaCosta and producer/co-writer Jordan Peele.
