SNAKE EYES: G.I. JOE ORIGINS follows the titular Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teaches Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.

Based on the iconic G.I. Joe character, the filmstars Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians, A Simple Favor) as the titular character, Andrew Koji (“Warrior”, “Peaky Blinders”) as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó (The Tree of Blood, “Money Heist”) as The Baroness, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Bill & Ted Face the Music) as Scarlett, Haruka Abe (She’s Just a Shadow, “Kiss Me First”) as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira (Lost Girls and Love Hotels, Ace Attorney) as Kenta and Iko Uwais (The Night Comes for Us, “Wu Assassins”) as Hard Master.

The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (R.I.P.D., The Captain). The story is by Evan Spiliotopoulos, based on Hasbro’s G.I. JOE Characters. The screenplay is by Spiliotopoulos (The Unholy, Charlie’s Angels), Anna Waterhouse (Rebecca, Seberg), and Joe Shrapnel (Frankie & Alice, The Aftermath).

The film is produced by Brian Goldner (Battleship, Jem and the Holograms), Erik Howsam, p.g.a. (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Shooter), and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, p.g.a (The MegBumblebee). It is executive produced by David Ellison (Flyboys), Dana Goldberg (The Tomorrow War), Don Granger (The Old Guard), Jeff G. Waxman (Freebird: The Movie), and Greg Mooradian (The Stepfather).
