[News] Horror in Color Announces Debut of PRIDE OR DIE Event
Horror in Color’s PRIDE OR DIE

Horror in Color is serving scares this summer with the debut of Pride or Die, a Horror-themed celebration of LGBTQIA+ identity. On Friday, June 18th from 5 pm – 9:30 pm, this Latinx-owned platform will be taking over viral snack-shop Iced Above in Uptown Whittier, CA (just blocks from Hocus Pocus and True Blood filming locations.)

Guests will be treated to live Scaryoke, an exclusive menu of snacks and drinks like the Neon Nightmare, limited-edition merchandise, and appearances from Director Gigi Saul Guerrero and Drag Queen Jerrica – all in a nightmare-fueled speakeasy! Afro Horror and Chinchilluna will even bring some treats of their own. Funds will be raised for local LGBTQIA+ counseling services via Colors Youth.

The most important part is you! Bring your Pride or Die, whether it be your friends, significant other, or family who you can be proud to enjoy Horror with every day. Guests can visit HorrorinColor.com/PrideorDie for more information.

Started in 2017, Iced Above is a booming viral snack shop famous for its speakeasy venue and delectably creative concoctions. Home of the original Michelada Paleta, Iced Above has drawn international attention with coverage on sites like Mitu and Foodbeast. Their signature blend of culture, creativity, and aesthetic continues to draw in fans to their Whittier location at 6745 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90601.

Horror in Color is a growing platform painting the Horror genre with colors of intersectional diversity, inclusion, and equity. Last year, they launched a virtual event series aimed at making the genre accessible to all, especially women, people of color, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and allies. Horror in Color’s roster of guests have ranged from American Horror Story star Angelica Ross to Baketopia celebrity judge Timbo Sullivan.
