[News] KATE, Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Gets a Release Date!

Netflix has announced the official release date for the upcoming badass, Mary Elizabeth Winstead-led action thriller, KATE. The film will be released on September 10, 2021, on the streaming service.

This news was announced today at Netflix Geeked‘s first-ever Geeked Week, a virtual fan-facing event revealing first looks and celebrating all things genre entertainment at Netflix.

After she’s irreversibly poisoned, a ruthless criminal operative has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.

KATE stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane, Birds of Prey), Tadanobu Asano (Mortal Kombat, Thor), Miyavi (Kong: Skull Island, Stray), Michiel Huisman (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, “The Haunting of Hill House”), introducing Miku Martineau (“Finny the Shark”), with Jun Kunimura (Kill Bill: Volume 1, The Wailing), and Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games franchise, Zombieland: Double Tap).

The film is directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Snow White and the Huntsman), with a screenplay written by Umair Aleem (Extraction, Danger Girl). The film is produced by Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Project Power), Kelly McCormick (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Shadow in the Cloud), and Patrick Newall (The Old Man & The Gun, Pay The Ghost).
