TIME GOES FAST! Especially for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2!

This year, to celebrate the anniversary of the record-setting opening of Sonic the Hedgehog, Paramount Pictures has got a groundbreaking, thought-provoking, extremely obvious announcement.

– cough cough cough – It’s the official title of the Sonic Sequel revealed! Any guesses? Anyone? You are absolutely right if you thought it was SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2! Check out the announcement below and let us know your thoughts!

The studio also revealed the release date for the upcoming sequel, which will be dropped on April 8, 2022. So, plenty of time for us to get safe and prepared for when we – hopefully – go back into theaters again.

Sonic The Hedgehog was a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film followed the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigated the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom joined forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also starred Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
