Today it was announced the cast set to star in the upcoming YA thriller series I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. The series will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Newly revealed cast members include Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level), Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene (Stumptown), Cassie Beck (Connecting), Brooke Bloom (Homecoming) and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman). Production will begin in January in Hawaii.
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER is a modern take on the hit 1997 horror film that honors the same chilling premise – in a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night. The project is based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Sara Goodman will write and executive produce along with executive producers Shay Hatten, Original Film’s Neal Moritz and Pavun Shetty and Atomic Monster’s James Wan, Rob Hackett and Michael Clear. Craig Macneill will serve as director and executive producer for the first episode.
Madison Iseman is best known for her role in the billion-dollar grossing Sony Pictures’ Jumanji franchise opposite Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillian, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. She originally appeared in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle as one of the four teenagers that discover an old video game console and are literally drawn into the game’s jungle setting, and also returned in Jumanji: The Next Level. Iseman will next be seen as the lead in the Lionsgate thriller Fear of Rain. In Fall 2020, she appeared in Amazon Studios and Blumhouse’s supernatural feature Nocturne, and was also seen in the teen drama Clouds, directed by Justin Baldoni. In 2019, Iseman starred in New Line Cinema’s horror film Annabelle Comes Home, the third installment in the Annabelle franchise. The film opened #2 at the domestic box office and found incredible success globally with a $200m total box office. Brianne Tju is a two-time Emmy-nominated actress for her role as ‘Alex Portnoy’ on the hit Hulu series Light as a Feather. She was singled out for her performance and earned a nomination for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series.” Most recently Brianne can be seen in the film 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, where she stars alongside John Corbett and Nia Long. Tju has gained a loyal fan base from performances on MTV’s Scream: The TV Series and Disney Channel’s comedy series Liv and Maddie. Her additional credits include starring in CW Seed’s Life After First Failure and guest starring in The CW’s iZombie, NBC’s A.P. Bio, Save Me and Chicago P.D., Hulu’s Love Daily, Fox’s 9-1-1, Freeform’s Famous in Love, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans and See Dad Run, and more. Brianne believes in continuously perfecting her craft and is passionate about using her platform to bring attention to issues such as mental health, eating disorders and body positivity. Ezekiel Goodman was most recently studying in the MFA Acting Program at the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts. In addition to other acting work, he was a member of iO Theater and The Annoyance Theater in Chicago, and appears in the forthcoming feature by filmmaker Meredith Johnston. He holds a BA from The Johns Hopkins University. He is represented by Lighthouse Management and Media, and Eric Brooks at Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson, & Christopher.
Ashley Moore has quickly built a career anchoring campaigns for brands like Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, GUESS, Sketchers, and Forever 21, while beginning her acting career; her first job was a featured role in Judd Apatow’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and she has also appeared as a guest star on Freeform’s Alone Together. She is represented by Luber Roklin Entertainment, Gersh and Skylaw.
Sebastian Amoruso most recently completed shooting a recurring role in Snapchat’s original series Solve. While attending the famed Stagedoor Manor, Sebastian starred in a number of musicals including Heathers the Musical and the US Premiere of Prom Queen. He is represented by Brookside Artist Management and CESD talent agency.
Fiona Rene is a Chinese-American actress who moved from London to LA after many years of working internationally. She is best known for her role of ‘Kara Lee’ on ABC’s Stumptown. Other credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Jane the Virgin, and playing ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ in The Invisible Hours for PSVR. Alongside acting, Fiona directs Immersive Theatre, is a successful voice over artist on networks like Freeform, and teaches workshops on Method for Being: Acting in Immersive Environments. She is represented by LG Management and Encompass Talent.
Cassie Beck recurs on NBC’s pandemic-life comedy Connecting, bringing real world grounding to the wacky ensemble as ‘Jazmin’, the exhausted front-line doctor. She also has an upcoming role opposite Mark Wahlberg and Connie Britton in the buzzy feature from TIFF, Good Joe Bell. She notably originated the role of ‘Aimee’ in the Tony Award-winning play The Humans on Broadway, in London and Los Angeles, and most recently appeared opposite Marisa Tomei in the Broadway revival of The Rose Tattoo. Cassie is represented by Matthew Lesher at Insight Entertainment and Artists & Representatives.
Brooke Bloom is excited to return to the Amazon family where she’s had roles on Sam Esmail’s Homecoming and the political satire Alpha House. Most recently, Brooke recurred on Season 3 of USA’s The Sinner opposite Matt Bomer and Bill Pullman. On the feature front, Brooke had memorable supporting turns in the critically acclaimed Jeremy Hersh indie The Surrogate (SXSW 2020) and Eric Steel’s Minyan (Berlin Film Festival 2020). A veteran of NY stage, Brooke is an Obie Award winner and Drama Desk nominee for her work in off Broadway’s You Got Older. Brooke is represented by Talentworks and One Entertainment.
Bill Heck is a classically trained actor with an MFA from NYU’s prestigious Graduate Acting Program. After that, he will return to shoot the series, The Old Man for F/X. Based on the book by Thomas Perry, Bill plays the young version of Jeff Bridges’ ‘Dan Chase’. Bill can also be seen in the Netflix series, Locke & Key; and the Apple TV+ anthology series, Little America. Recently, Bill was seen in his starring role, in the Coen Brothers’ award-winning film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs; the Amazon Studios feature film I’m Your Woman, opposite Rachel Brosnahan; and the indie film Small Town Wisconsin for Cannes Film Festival nominee, director Niels Mueller, produced by Alexander Payne. He also had a pivotal guest star role in the last season of Showtime’s hit series, Ray Donovan. On stage, Bill played the central role in Horton Foote’s 9-hour epic The Orphans’ Home Cycle, directed by Michael Wilson. His work was nominated for Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards, in addition to winning the Theatre World Award, and Equity’s Clarence Derwent Award for Most Promising Actor. Bill went on to star as ‘Joe Pitt’, opposite Zachary Quinto and Adam Driver, in Tony Kushner’s Angels in America. He also portrayed ‘Lorenzo’ alongside Al Pacino, in The Merchant of Venice (The Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park), and played ‘Cliff’ in Broadway’s Cabaret with Alan Cumming (Roundabout Theatre), opposite Michelle Williams, Emma Stone, and Sienna Miller. Heck is represented by Gersh, manager Perry Zimel and attorney Diane Golden.
