As humans, we are all at the mercy of making mistakes. But what happens when that single mistake snowballs into a destructive force hellbent on wreaking havoc on one’s life? That’s the focus of Deon Taylor‘s latest thriller FATALE, a contemporary retelling of the “femme fatale” that draws inspiration from previous films such as Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct, but with its own twist.

For the release of FATALE, Nightmarish Conjurings’ Shannon McGrew had the immense pleasure of speaking with actor Michael Ealy who plays Derrick, a successful sports agent who finds his life upended after a one-night stand. During the interview, Ealy discussed everything from reuniting with Deon Taylor to how his character transforms over the course of the film.

Official Synopsis: After a wild one-night stand, Derrick (Michael Ealy), a successful sports agent, watches his perfect life slowly disappear when he discovers that the sexy and mysterious woman he risked everything for, is a determined police detective (Hilary Swank) who entangles him in her latest investigation. As he tries desperately to put the pieces together, he falls deeper into her trap, risking his family, his career, and even his life. FATALE is a suspenseful and provocative psychological thriller and an unpredictable game of cat and mouse where one mistake can change your life.

FATALE is directed by Deon Taylor and written by David Lougherty and stars Hilary Swank (The Hunt), Michael Ealy (The Intruder), Mike Colter (“Luke Cage”), Danny Pino (“Law & Order: SVU”), Damaris Lewis (BlacKkKlansman) and Tyrin Turner (Meet the Blacks).
