We’ve all experienced road rage at one point or another. We’ve honked our horns or given the finger or screamed a curse word and we’ve also experienced that in return. But what do you do when that person’s rage spins out of control and you find yourself being stalked by a nameless, unstable man? That’s the situation that Rachel (Caren Pistorius) finds herself in one morning when driving her son to school, in Derrick Borte‘s latest thriller, UNHINGED.

Prior the film’s release, Nightmarish Conjurings had the chance to chat with Pistorious where we discussed everything from what it was like to embody the character of Rachel to her experience filming the majority of her scenes within the confines of a hot (temperature-wise) car.

Official Synopsis: Rachel (Caren Pistorious) is running late to work when she has an altercation at a traffic light with a stranger (Russell Crowe) whose life has left him feeling powerless and invisible. Soon, Rachel finds herself and everyone she loves the target of a man who decides to make one last mark upon the world by teaching her a series of deadly lessons. What follows is a dangerous game of cat and mouse that proves you never know just how close you are to someone who is about to become unhinged.

UNHINGED also stars Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, Gabriel Bateman, Jimmi Simpson and Austin P. McKenzie. UNHINGED is rated R for strong violent content, and language throughout.

For more on the film, check out our review here. UNHINGED is in select theaters and Drive-In locations. Disclaimer/Editor’s Note: While the marketing for this film dares everyone to go to the theaters during a pandemic, Nightmarish Conjurings doesn’t condone seeing movies in theaters at this time. Please consider VOD and/or Drive-In options and please be safe.
