Vertical Entertainment has unveiled a brand new trailer and poster for their latest horror thriller, NO ESCAPE. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!
It isn’t a game anymore…
A social media star travels with his friends to Moscow to capture new content for his successful VLOG. Always pushing the limits and catering to a growing audience, he and his friends enter a cold world of mystery, excess, and danger. As the line between real life and social media is blurred, the group must fight to escape and survive.
NO ESCAPE stars Keegan Allen (“Pretty Little Liars”, The Sound and the Fury), Holland Roden (“Teen Wolf”, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish), Denzel Whitaker (Black Panther, My Soul to Take), Ronen Rubinstein (Some Kind of Hate, It Felt Like Love), Pasha Lynchnikoff (A Good Day to Die Hard, “Shameless”), George Janko (“NCIS: Los Angeles”, Back to Lyla), and Siya (The First Purge, Deuces).
The film is directed and written by Will Wernick (Escape Room, Valley Heist). In his official statement regarding the film, Wernick had this to say:
Social media is changing us all. As expectations of living a hyper and “perfect life” are pushed ever higher, what might we be willing to do to satisfy our audience? With or without realizing it, we are dishonest with each other all the time. We constantly adjust our behavior to satisfy the needs of those surrounding us including the needs of our audience. The film explores our changing relationship to entertainment. It interweaves the forces of social media and fame within the evolving landscape of experiential entertainment, and challenges the viewer to consider how they interact with their digital world.
NO ESCAPE will be available on Digital and On-Demand starting September 18, 2020. Will you rely on the film as a form of escapism or will you give this a pass? Let us know your thoughts!
