Dark Sky Films is bringing LUZ: THE FLOWER OF EVIL to Digital and Video On Demand on September 15, 2020. To celebrate, they have unveiled an official poster and trailer for the film, which you can check out below.

El Señor, the leader of a small cult in the mountains, returns to his village with a child who is purported to be the new Messiah. But when only pain and destruction befall the community, El Señor finds himself under attack from his own followers, including his three daughters, whose burgeoning femininity has already caused them to question their faith.

Equally mystical and terrifying, LUZ: THE FLOWER OF EVIL is a fantasy folk horror film where tranquility belies a simmering evil.

The film stars Yuri Vargas (Revenge Strategy, Playing with Fire), Conrado Osorio (Sniper: Ultimate Kill, La Reina del Sur), Andrea Esquivel (Afuera del Tiempo, The Hunters), Sharon Guzman (La Reina del Sur 2, Noobees Nickelodeon), Jim Munoz (TV’s One Way Out), Johan Camacho (Guelcom tu Colombia, The Hunters), and Daniel Paez (“Narcos”, Apatía, una película de carretera).

LUZ: THE FLOWER OF EVIL is directed, written, and produced by Juan Diego Escobar Alzate.

The film will be available in both English dub and the original Spanish with English subtitles. For those of us who try to stay away from dubbing, this information is helpful.

Dark Sky Films is the independent production company and distributor behind such modern classics as Ti West’s The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, Stake Land, Deathgasm, We Are Still Here, Girl On The Third Floor, and more!
