[News] Join Elvira and Malcom McDowell Tonight in Times Square for Shockfest

Shockfest Film Festival featuring Malcolm McDowell and Elvira will be in Times Square today, July 27, 2020.  The 12-year running Film Festival will be holding its online broadcast this evening from Times Square, New York City at 8:30pm (EST) – 10:30pm (EST).

Introducing you to the world of Shockfest is the voice of legendary actor Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Star Trek Generations, Bolt).  The Macabre Mansion experience is part escape room, part variety showcase, and part highlight of submitters of Shockfest Film Festival.  Included in this showcase is the iconic Horror Host, Elvira who will be presenting the Woman of Horror award to one lucky Shockfest filmmaker.  Each virtual room of the Mansion will introduce you to a variety of femme fatale female vampires, all of whom will showcase a new section of the mansion leading you to the Grand Finale in Times Square, where the Shockfest Portal will open and manifest the haunted building into the heart of New York City.

The first 2 official selections of Shockfest Film Festival will be announced at Macabre Mansion, Patrick Rea (Fused) and Chelsea Stardust (Satanic Panic) who’s work will be highlighted throughout the broadcast.

The Finale will feature a one night only interactive street performance, in which the largest, most high tech screen in the country located in the middle of Times Square will interact with performers located on the street below.  Following the performance, the finalists of the Shockfest Poster Competition will be broadcast up on the billboard for all New York to see along with highlights of Any Last Words Podcast (hosted by Jo Gonsalves), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th franchise) Michael Aloisi (Unmasked: True Life Story of the World’s Most Prolific Cinematic Killer), Gaffer Power (https://www.gafferpower.com) and shoutouts from the partners and sponsors of Macabre Mansion including:

Shockfest Film Festival has been premiering and showcasing artists in Hollywood for over a decade and has been a premiere space for such prominent industry professionals as James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Shane Black (Lethal Weapon) and many more filmmakers and entertainers.
