Searchlight Pictures has announced their official panel focusing on the horror film, ANTLERS, at Comic-Con@Home.

Acclaimed director Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Hostiles) and horror maestro Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth) tease their upcoming Searchlight Pictures movie ANTLERS along with how they designed the Wendigo-inspired monster. In addition, the two go in-depth on the craft of filmmaking and how they create a visual style. The panel will be moderated by Collider’s editor-in-chief Steven Weintraub.

The panel takes place tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 PM PST/4:00 PM EST. Head on over to Comic-Con@Home and prepare yourself for some filmmaking insights.

The premise for ANTLERS is as follows: Julia Meadows (Keri Russell), a school teacher in a small town in Oregon, and her brother, Paul (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, become concerned about one of her students, a young boy named Lucas Weaver (Jeremy T. Thomas) who is keeping a supernatural creature in his house.

The film stars Keri Russell (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, “The Americans”), Jesse Plemons (El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, “Friday Night Lights”), Jeremy T. Thomas (The Righteous Gemstones, “Lore”), Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves, The Green Mile), Scott Haze (Venom, Thank You For Your Service), Rory Cochrane (A Scanner Darkly, Hostiles), and Amy Madigan (The Hunt, Streets of Fire).

The film is directed by Scott Cooper. The screenplay is by C. Henry Chaisson (Open 24 Hours, Breaker Breaker),  Nick Antosca (“The Act”, The Forest), and Scott Cooper, based upon the short story The Quiet Boy by Nick Antosca. It is produced by Guillermo del Toro, p.g.a., David Goyer, p.g.a. (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight), and J. Miles Dale, p.g.a. (Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, Nightmare Alley).

ANTLERS is aiming to be released in theaters on February 19, 2021.
