[News] PROJECT POWER Unlocks the Power Within in New First Look Trailer

Netflix has unveiled the official poster, trailer, and release date for their upcoming science-fiction action film, PROJECT POWER. Make sure you check out the trailer below and mark your calendars. This film is going to be fire!

On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.

PROJECT POWER stars Jamie Foxx (Just Mercy, Django Unchained), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception), Dominique Fishback (Night Comes On, “The Deuce”), Rodrigo Santoro (“Westworld”, 300: Rise of an Empire), Colson Baker (Bird Box, Captive State), Allen Maldonado (“Black-ish”, Miss Me This Christmas), Amy Landecker (The Hunter’s Prayer, Project Almanac), and Courtney B. Vance (“Lovecraft Country“, 12 Angry Men).

The film is directed by Henry Joost (Nerve, Catfish) and Ariel Schulman (Paranormal Activity 3, Paranormal Activity 4). The screenplay was written by Mattson Tomlin (The Batman, Little Fish).

The film is produced by Eric Newman, p.g.a. (The Man with the Iron Fists, The Last Exorcism Part II) and Bryan Unkeless, p.g.a. (Where’d You Go, Bernadette?, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

It is executive produced by Ray Angelic (The Host, Ghost in the Shell), Orlee-Rose Strauss (Australian Psycho, The Second Sound Barrier), and Scott Morgan.

PROJECT POWER will be released exclusively on Netflix on August 14, 2020.
