The series follows Atticus Freeman as he joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across the 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.
The series stars Jonathan Majors (Captive State, White Boy Rick), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Birds of Prey, “Underground”), Courtney B. Vance (“American Crime Story”, Uncorked), Michael Kenneth Williams (“When They See Us”, “The Wire”), Abbey Lee (The Neon Demon, Elizabeth Harvest), Aunjanue Ellis (“Designated Survivor”, “When They See Us”). and Chase Brown.
LOVECRAFT COUNTRY is executive produced by Misha Green (“Underground”, “Sons of Anarchy”), who also serves as showrunner with J.J. Abrams (“Lost”, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), Bill Carraro (Blade Runner 2049, The Adjustment Bureau), Yann Demange (White Boy Rick, ’71), Daniel Sackheim (The Glass House, The Lottery), and David Knoller (“Freaks and Geeks”, “Big Love”) also serve as executive producers.
Yann Demange directs episode one of the series. Daniel Sackham directs episodes two and three of the series.
