Netflix has revealed the official first look photos and official release date for their upcoming gritty fantasy film titled THE OLD GUARD, which you can check out in the gallery below.

Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (Kiki Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary.

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love & Basketball, Beyond The Lights), THE OLD GUARD is a gritty, grounded, action-packed story that shows living forever is harder than it looks.

The film stars Charlize Theron (Bombshell, Mad Max: Fury Road), Kiki Layne (If Beale Street Could Talk, Captive State), Marwan Kenzari (Aladdin, The Mummy), Luca Marinelli (They Call Me Jeeg, Don’t Be Bad), Harry Melling (The Harry Potter film franchise, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Van Veronica Ngo (Furie, The Tailor), with Matthias Schoenaerts (The Mustang, Rust and Bone) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (The Lion King, The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind).

The film is produced by David Ellison (Geostorm, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), Dana Goldberg (6 Underground, Terminator Genisys), Don Granger (Gemini Man, Jack Reacher), AJ Dix (Tully, Atomic Blonde), Beth Kono (Long Shot, Gringo), Marc Evans (“Manhunt”, “Trauma”), and Charlize Theron.
