The starting line-up for the Scripts Gone Wild Rockford Peaches kicked off last week with an announcement that included “Better Call Saul”’s Rhea Seehorn, acclaimed screenwriter Guinevere Turner, popular television actress Erin Cummings, and scream queen Tiffany Shepis. But it takes more than four people to make a baseball team! Over the next few weeks, Scripts Gone Wild will be revealing the rest of its diamond dream team for A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, and the second wave of casting includes some fan favorites and an exciting new rookie prospect!

Aurora Sexton – An actress, artist, impressionist, comedienne, trans advocate, and so much more – 2016’s Miss Gay USA, and co-writer and star of GAYISH: 2, coming soon

Clarke Wolfe – Actress known for Satanic Panic and Deathcember; correspondent for Nerdist and Collider; co-star, Movie Trivia Schmoedown; host, Sending the Wolfe podcast

Alex Marshall-Brown – Actress best known for “Westworld”, “The Mindy Project”, “This Is Us, and Modern Family; stuntwoman on The Hateful Eight and Destroyer

Aaron LaPlante – Scripts Gone Wild favorite, best known for his voice work in the Adult Swim series, “Primal”, and “Samurai Jack”; and Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation

The charity for this read is, appropriately, THE GEENA DAVIS INSTITUTE ON GENDER IN MEDIA. Davis is an Academy Award-winning actress who, of course, starred as “Dottie Hinson” in A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN and also founded the Bentonville Film Festival. The Institute is the only organization working collaboratively within the entertainment industry to engage, educate, and influence the creation of gender-balanced on-screen portrayals, reducing harmful stereotypes and creating an abundance of unique and intersectional female characters in entertainment targeting children 11 and under.

Founded in 2016 at the Chattanooga Film Festival, Scripts Gone Wild is a monthly script reading series where a group of suspecting celebs, filmmakers, and influencers are taken – a movie script and alcohol put in their hands – and chaos ensues! It’s a drinking game – any time a reader flubs a line, misses their cue – THEY DRINK! The audience event gets in on the action by choosing ‘trigger words’ that only increase the likelihood of the evening getting, well…’wild’. Previous readers have included: Joel McHale (“Community”), Perez Hilton, Ross Marquand (“The Walking Dead”), Tracie Thoms (“Cold Case”, “Wonderfalls”), and Tom Kenny (the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants).

SCRIPTS GONE WILD – A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN takes place Thursday April 30th at 7:30pm at El Cid on Sunset located at 4212 Sunset Blvd. Tickets are $20 for VIP SEATING and $10 for GENERAL ADMISSION. Proceeds will benefit Fair Fight. For more information about Scripts Gone Wild, or to purchase tickets, visit: www.scriptsgonewild.com.
