Don’t know what or who SAINT MAUD is? Check out the official trailer below because we need you to understand our hype. It is an unholy vision from acclaimed filmmaker Rose Glass from the studio that brought you The WitchHereditary, and Midsommar.

The debut film from writer-director Rose Glass, SAINT MAUD is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.

The film stars Morfydd Clark (Crawl, Love & Friendship), Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty, The King’s Speech), Lily Frazer (“Sex Education”, “Ladhood”), Lily Knight (The Purge: Anarchy, Secretary), Marcus Hutton (Cycle, I’m Here), Turlough Convery (Doing Money, “Sanditon”), and Rosie Sansom (Love Bite, “The Rook”).

The film was written and directed by Rose Glass (Room 55, The Silken Strand) in what serves to be her debut film.

The film will be released in theaters on March 27, 2020. Something to carry with us as we approach Easter. Stay tuned next month to see our official review of the film.
