A24 has released the second trailer iler from their upcoming horror film, SAINT MAUD. As it is Ash Wednesday and the official start of Lent, the trailer gives us something to think about. Especially since the tagline is, “Your Savior is Coming.”

The debut film from writer-director Rose Glass, SAINT MAUD is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.

The film stars Morfydd Clark (Crawl, Love & Friendship), Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty, The King’s Speech), Lily Frazer (“Sex Education”, “Ladhood”), Lily Knight (The Purge: Anarchy, Secretary), Marcus Hutton (Cycle, I’m Here), Turlough Convery (Doing Money, “Sanditon”), and Rosie Sansom (Love Bite, “The Rook”).

The film was written and directed by Rose Glass (Room 55, The Silken Strand) in what serves to be her debut film.
