[News] Rooftop Cinema Club Announces Halloween Screening Schedule

75% of people polled REALLY enjoy horror films, which is why Rooftop Cinema Club is celebrating the season with fan-favorite flicks all throughout the month of October.

Halloween was voted the top horror film, followed by The Shining suggesting that classic horrors still resonate with today’s audiences, which is perfect as Halloween will be showcased at both venues on – you guessed it – Halloween!

Who scares you the most? Freddy Krueger is unanimously the scariest character and 20% think it’s Pennywise, followed by Leatherface. So all you Freddy Krueger fans should be sure to join Rooftop Cinema Club for a double feature on Oct 25th with A Nightmare on Elm Street, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3.
What about Halloween Crush to take to the movies? 36% chose their favorite Sanderson Sister from Hocus Pocus and 30% picked Beetlejuice. Both Hocus Pocus and Beetlejuice are screening on multiple dates at LEVEL  and NeueHouse.

62% of people actually ENJOY suspense and jumpy scenes which is a good thing since LEVEL, will be screening horror classics such as Candyman on Oct. 11th and The Blair Witch Project on Oct 27th.

65% would dress up in costume with a date to watch a Halloween movie, so grab your friends, come dressed up to screenings taking place on Halloweekend Oct. 25 and 26.

Scary movies not your jam? You’re not alone! 33% of people preferred to close their eyes while 28% squeezed their dates hands and 22% opted to stay cool, calm and unphased.

Rooftop Cinema Club loves a good costume contest! On Friday, October 25th and Saturday October 26th, guests who attend in costume will have the chance to win a $50 Visa gift card for best dressed. (Screening of Paid in Full is exempt.)

On October 31st, the first 25 guests who attend in costume will get a free snack pack! Guests in attendance can also expect a treat or trick with Halloween activities such as games and trivia on Halloween.

Also in the lineup are screenings with Q&A for those who really want to get into the Halloween spirit.  At NeueHouse On Oct 27, guests in attendance will be treated to a screening of Return of the Living Dead followed by a Q&A with actress Beverly Randolph (“Tina”) and production designer William Stout.

Just for the month of October, Rooftop Cinema Club is adding “Flick or Treat” tickets that includes free candy throughout the month of October! Screenings are for adults only/18+ and ticket prices are from $17 + booking fee for general lounge seating. From $20 + booking fees, guests get to enjoy lounge seating plus unlimited popcorn and candy.
