RLJE Films has released the first official trailer and poster for their upcoming horror slasher film, TRICK. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

On Halloween night in 2015, Patrick “Trick” Weaver massacred his classmates at a costume party. After being arrested, he managed to escape police custody, but not before being shot five times by Detective Mike Denver (Epps). Everyone believes TRICK must be dead, but when a masked killer reappears the following Halloween, and every Halloween after that, they realize the nightmare is not over. With TRICK wreaking havoc and killing innocent people in increasingly terrifying ways, Denver will stop at nothing to finish what he started and bring the carnage to an end.

Omar Epps heads the cast in the main role of Detective Mike Denver, a man obsessed with a serial killer that has remained one step ahead of him for years.  Film Bridge International is handling worldwide sales at the Cannes Film Market. Epps has starred in over 20 films in a career spanning two decades. Most recently, he starred on USA Network’s “Shooter” and 2018’s hit film Traffik alongside Paula Patton.

TRICK also stars Ellen Adair (Showtime’s “Homeland” and “Billions,” USA’s “The Sinner”) as Sheriff Lisa Jayne, the sheriff in the small town of Benton who has always considered Detective Denver as her mentor. Cheryl Winston, the only survivor of the latest round of killings in her small town, is played by Kristina Reyes (“Blindspot,” “Shades of Blue”). Talbott is played by frequent George A. Romero collaborator Tom Atkins and Jamie Kennedy (Scream 1-3Malibu’s Most Wanted, Romeo + Juliet) stars as Dr. Steven.  Principal photography took place in upstate New York.

The film is directed by Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine) who co-wrote the film with Todd Farmer (Drive Angry). The film is a production of Durango Pictures and was produced by Ita Kennedy (Ghost Hunters) and Ellen Wander (Spinning Man).

Ward and Jess De Leo from RLJE Films and negotiated the deal with Ellen Wander and Jordan Dykstra of Film Bridge International on behalf of the filmmakers.

TRICK will slash its way into theaters on October 18, 2019.
