From writer/director Guy Ritchie comes THE GENTLEMEN, a star-studded sophisticated action-comedy. THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him (featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant).
The film stars Matthew McConaughey (Serenity, The Dark Tower), Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”, Triple Frontier), Henry Golding (Last Christmas, A Simple Favor), Michelle Dockery (“Godless”, “Downtown Abbey”), Jeremy Strong (Zero Dark Thirty, Molly’s Game), Eddie Marsan (“Jonathan Strange and Mr. Morrell”, “Hunted”), with Colin Farrell (Dumbo, The Killing of a Sacred Deer) and Hugh Grant (Love Actually, Bridget Jones’s Diary).
The film is directed and written by Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Aladdin). The story is by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson (The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), and Marn Davies (Sherlock Holmes, Banshee). Richie produces alongside Atkinson, and Bill Block (Halloween, Bad Moms).
THE GENTLEMEN will arrive in theaters on January 24, 2020.
