Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first official trailer and first official still from their upcoming film, BIRDS OF PREY. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
BIRDS OF PREY focuses on Harley Quinn, who teams up with Huntress and Black Canary when Cassandra Cain attracts the attention of Black Mask. How did she do this? Cain discovers a diamond that belongs to the Gotham criminal overlord and he’ll do everything in his power to ensure that he gets that diamond back, even if it means eliminating a curious kid.
Margot Robbie (Terminal, Focus) reprises her role from Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn. Joining her in BIRDS OF PREY is Mary Elizabeth Winstead (The Thing, 10 Cloverfield Lane) as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell (“Underground”, “Full House”) as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco (“Veep”, “Grey’s Anatomy”) as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez (Pineapple Express, “Rise”) as Renee Montoya, and Ewan McGregor (Christopher Robin, Doctor Sleep) as the villain Black Mask.
Rounding out the cast is Chris Messina (“Sharp Objects“, “The Mindy Project”), Steven Williams (IT, “The Chi”), Derek Wilson (“Preacher”, “Future Man”), Dana Lee (Mulan, Pineapple Express), Francois Chau (“Lost”, “The Expanse”), and Matthew Willig (Keep Watching, Year One).
BIRDS OF PREY is directed by Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs, According To My Mother). The script was written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Shut In). BIRDS OF PREY is produced by Robbie, Sue Kroll (A Star Is Born, Motherless Brooklyn), and Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Bright).
The film is planning on soaring its way into theaters on February 7, 2020.
