Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that their survival thriller SWEETHEART will be coming to Digital and be available On Demand on October 22, 2019. Make sure you also check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Jenn finds herself completely alone on a small tropical island after her boat goes down. But as the sun sets, Jenn’s waking nightmare inexorably grows into terror, when a malevolent force comes to stalk the jungle for prey. From Blumhouse, producers of Get Out and The Purge franchise comes a thrilling twist on the castaway genre.

SWEETHEART stars Kiersey Clemons (The Flash, Flatliners), Emory Cohen (Lord of Chaos, “The OA”), Hanna Mangan Lawrence (Containment, “Spartacus”), and Andrew Crawford (Aquaman).

The film is directed by JD Dillard (Sleight, Stray). Dillard wrote the script alongside Alex Theurer (Sleight, Stray) and Alex Hyner (Germ, Sleight). The film is produced by Dillard, Hyner, Theurer, Jason Blum of Blumhouse, and Bill Karesh (Viral, Fathers & Daughters).
