Horror guru Brian Yuzna (Re-Animator, Society) will be hosting a special screening of the Barbara Crampton-starring supernatural horror flick REBORN on Saturday, September 14th at 11:45 pm at Hollywood’s Arena Cinelounge.
Directed by Julian Richards (The Last Horror Movie) REBORN was filmed on location in Hollywood and also stars Michael Pare,Chaz Bono, Rae Dawn Chong, Monte Markham and Kayleigh Gilbert in a contemporary Frankenstein story about a stillborn baby girl brought back to life by an electrical storm before being abducted from hospital by a morgue attendant. On her sixteenth birthday, empowered with the gift to manipulate electricity, she escapes her captor and sets out to find her birth mother leaving a trail of destruction behind her.
A nostalgic celebration of classic paranormal horror REBORN has been selected to screen at over 40 festivals worldwide and has won several awards including Best Sci-Fi Feature at Another Hole In The Head, Best Horror Feature at Mad Monster Party and Best Director at Fantasporto. Critics are united in their praise for REBORN which Surgeons Of Horror describe as “a stunning modern twist on 70s and 80s horror classics like Carrie, Firestarter, and The Fury” and Morbidly Beautiful describe as “A compelling, emotional roller-coaster about loss and vengeance”.
This special movie night event is a theatrical pre-view to Vertical Entertainment’s DVD, Digital and On-Demand release on September 17th.
