Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for their upcoming drama film, MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, which stars Edward Norton. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts.

Set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN follows Lionel Essrog (Edward Norton), a lonely private detective living with Tourette Syndrome, as he ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna (Bruce Willis).  Armed only with a few clues and the engine of his obsessive mind, Lionel unravels closely-guarded secrets that hold the fate of the whole city in the balance.  In a mystery that carries him from gin-soaked jazz clubs in Harlem to the hard-edged slums of Brooklyn and, finally, into the gilded halls of New York’s power brokers, Lionel contends with thugs, corruption and the most dangerous man in the city to honor his friend and save the woman who might be his own salvation.

The film stars Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk, Fight Club), Bruce Willis (Glass, Death Wish), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Fast Color, Beauty and the Beast), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man, “Boardwalk Empire”), Cherry Jones (“The Handmaid’s Tale”, Wine Country), Michael Kenneth Williams (“When They See Us”, The Night Of), Leslie Mann (Blockers, Welcome to Marwen), Ethan Suplee (Remember the Titans, “My Name is Earl”), Dallas Roberts (“Insatiable”. The Grey), Josh Pais (Joker, That Awkward Moment), Robert Ray Wisdom (“The Wire”, The Fix), Fisher Stevens (Stand Up Guys, Hackers), with Alec Baldwin (Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Drunk Parents) and Willem Dafoe (Aquaman, The Lighthouse).

MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN is directed and written by Norton, adapted from the novel by Jonathan Lethem. The film is produced by Norton, Bill Migliore, Edward Norton, Michael Bederman, Gigi Pritzker, and Rachel Shane. It is executive produced by Adrian Alperovich, Sue Kroll, Daniel Nadler, Robert F. Smith, and Brian Niranjan Sheth.

The film will be released in theaters on November 1, 2019.
