[News] Composite Effects Releases Licensed Universal Classic Monster Line

Composite Effects (CFX) and NBC Universal are thrilled to announce a line of licensed silicone masks based off the iconic Universal Classic Monster characters from the films Frankenstein©, The Creature from the Black Lagoon©, and The Mummy©, as well as a classic cult favorite, They Live©! The Universal Classic Monsters film library spans the decades from the 1920s to 1950s, has produced some of the most iconic and influential horror films in the history of cinema, and CFX is excited to give them LIFE.

“They’re ALIVE!!!!!” says Ken Decker, Owner of CFX. “It was an honor to be approached by Universal to bring these monsters to a new audience. These are literally the crown jewels of the monster kingdom and we’ve brought them to life as only CFX can!”

Brett Morris, GM “Universal Classic Monsters have been imprinted on the human psyche since their inception. Their influence has reached millions, if not billions, of people over many decades and I am not immune, so having the opportunity to sculpt some of them and re-visit those classic films is a wonderful privilege.”

The official unveiling of Frankenstein and They Live took place at San Diego Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA and are available now on CFX’s website, with more monsters available later this fall. Universal “Classic Monsters” and “They Live” masks will be available in their classic “black and white” grayscale look, in addition to having their classic color option. Product pricing and availability can be found at www.compositeeffects.com.
