Last week, Scripts Gone Wild, i.e. Los Angeles’s best-kept secret, announced the headliners for their upcoming reading of Tim Burton’s BEETLEJUICE benefiting Habitat for Humanity: Malcolm Barrett and Julie Ann Emery from AMC’s “Preacher”, and host of the new “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return”, Jonah Ray. These three join a long line of Scripts Gone Wild headliners that have included Joel McHale (“Community”), Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do), and Emily Carmichael (screenwriter, Jurassic World 3).

Joining the trio at El Cid on Sunset are: Brian Howe, a celebrated character actor best known from films like The Pursuit of Happyness, Catch Me If You Can, Evan Almighty, Gran Torino, and The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra; and from series like HBO’s “Vice Principals”, “The Newsroom”, and “Westworld”; Showtime’s “Masters of Sex”; FX’s “Justified”; and “Journeyman”. This is Howe’s third appearance with Scripts Gone Wild, after reads of Poltergeist and Zombie Nightmare. Also back for her fourth appearance is Clarke Wolfe, a correspondent for Nerdist, Collider, and SyFy, and host of her popular podcast, “Sending the Wolfe”.

Other new readers include: veteran Broadway actor, Kevin Earley, best known as the title role of “Death” in Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of “Death Takes A Holiday”, and from NYC productions of Les Miserables and Thoroughly Modern Millie; actress Eeva Ceja, best known for CBS’s “S.W.A.T”., ABC’s “Last Man Standing”, and CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”; and Conor Murphy, an L.A. based theatre and film actor known for the feature films, Buckshot and The Longest Night, and NBC’s “The Good Place”.

Sponsored by Mulholland Distilling, Q Mixers, and Pomp & Whimsy, and Stella Artois, all proceeds will benefit HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. “Scripts Gone Wild is honored to be raising money for such an amazing organization,” said founder Billy Ray Brewton. “I’ve long admired the work done by Habitat for Humanity, and am delighted that we can use our insatiable love for libations to help them towards their incredible mission.”
