Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced that the superhero, horror movie BRIGHTBURN will be arriving on Digital on August 6, 2019. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD will soar onto shelves on August 20, 2019.

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With BRIGHTBURN, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.

BRIGHTBURN stars Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games films, Power Rangers), David Denman (“Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Office”), Jackson A. Dunn (“Glow”, Gone are the Days), Matt Jones (“Breaking Bad”, “Mom”), and Meredith Hagner (The Oath, Set It Up).

The film is directed by David Yarovesky (The Hive) from a script by Gunn’s brother, Brian Gunn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island), and cousin, Mark Gunn (The Girlfriend Experience). The executive producers are Brian Gunn, Mark Gunn, Simon Hatt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Dan Clifton (The Boy Downstairs), Nic Crawley (Wolf Warrior 2), and Kent Huang (The Parts You Lose).
