Hot off the heels of the successful Cantina del Diablo summer party and To Live and Di(n)e in LA dining experience, DRUNKEN DEVIL is launching Los Angeles’ first monthly brunch series tailored made for all horror fanatics with Bloody Brunch.

“Our mission has always been to produce unique, engaging, and fun horror-themed entertainment,” says Matt Dorado, creator of DRUNKEN DEVIL. “We’ve had an incredible run with Deviled Eggs burlesque brunch for the past few years and have decided to shift our day-time events to an entirely new brunch concept we believe will appeal to horror and brunch fans alike.”

Bloody Brunch is a fully-realized theatrical experience, inspired by kitschy horror TV specials of the 60s and 70s, and hosted by a pair of delightfully devious, yet campy characters based on legends like Vampira and Vincent Price. Each iteration of Bloody Brunch will feature a variety of performances, ranging from burlesque and sideshow acts, to magic, vocalists, and more, all with a horror twist. Guests can imbibe on themed cocktails (designed specifically for the show) and classic brunch fare like mimosas and bloody marys, enjoy delicious food, and are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.

In addition to the performances, dishes, and libations, Bloody Brunch will feature roaming creepy characters and tarot readers that will engage with audience members throughout the show. “Our events always include multiple layers,” Dorado says. “Adding an immersive narrative with characters that interact with patrons is an integral element to our shows and allows guests to choose their level of engagement. While some love to dive in and learn all they can about the underlying narrative, others enjoy stellar live entertainment and chatting with fellow patrons while drinking cocktails. There’s something for everyone at Drunken Devil, and Bloody Brunch will be no exception.”

Bloody Brunch begins its monthly residency at the historic El Cid on Sunday, June 30, from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Tickets for the strictly 21+ affair start at $25 and are now available at www.thedrunkendevil.com.
