New Line Cinema, via Warner Bros. Pictures, has released the first official trailer for the upcoming THE KITCHEN, which is based on the comic book series of the same name.

The gritty, female-driven mob drama THE KITCHEN, from New Line Cinema and BRON Creative, was written and directed by Andrea Berloff, who was nominated for an Oscar for the original screenplay for Straight Outta Compton.

THE KITCHEN stars Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Bridesmaids), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), and Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) as three 1978 Hell’s Kitchen housewives whose mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI.  Left with little but a sharp ax to grind, the ladies take the Irish mafia’s matters into their own hands—proving unexpectedly adept at everything from running the rackets to taking out the competition…literally.

The film also stars Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, Star Wars: The Last Jedi), James Badge Dale (Iron Man 3, World War Z), Brian d’Arcy James (First Man, Molly’s Game), with Margo Martindale (“The Americans”, “Sneaky Pete), Oscar winner Common (John Wick: Chapter 2, Smallfoot), and Bill Camp (Vice, Red Sparrow); as well as Jeremy Bobb (“The Knick”, “Godless”), E.J. Bonilla (The House That Jack Built, The Long Road Home), Wayne Duvall (Leatherheads, Prisoners), Annabella Sciorra (“The Sopranos”, Jungle Fever), and Myk Watford (Darkness Rising, No Country for Old Men).

The film will raid theaters on August 9, 2019. Make sure you check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
