Highland Film Group announced today that Lulu Wilson (Annabelle: Creation,  “The Haunting of Hill House”, upcoming The Glorias: A Life on the Road) and Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Mission Impossible, Star Trek) will go head-to-head in a new action thriller, BECKY, from directors Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion (Bushwick, Cooties).

The film will be produced by Jordan Yale Levine (King Cobra, Crypto) and Jordan Beckerman (After Everything, Crypto) of Yale Productions, alongside Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz of BoulderLight Pictures (Contracted, Dismissed, Pledge). Highland Film Group is handling international sales which will commence in Cannes next week. UTA Independent Film Group is handling the US sale.

Spunky, rebellious 13-year-old Becky (Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father in an effort to try to reconnect after her mother’s death. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Pegg), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky, not daddy’s little girl anymore, decides to take matters into her own hands in this high-octane action-thriller described as John Wick with a 13-year-old girl. Principal photography is set to begin in Summer 2019.

Lulu Wilson has made her mark in a number of films and TV series, many of which are in the horror/thriller genre. Her most recent credits include Annabelle: Creation, Ouija: Origin of Evil as well as Netflix’s hit series “The Haunting of Hill House” and HBO’s “Sharp Objects.” Wilson’s next projects include the films Wyrm and The Glorias: A Life on the Road where she will play a young Gloria Steinem, alongside Alicia Vikander & Julianne Moore.

Simon Pegg has an extensive list of acting, writing and comedy credits to his name. His feature film credits include Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, The World’s End and Hot Fuzz. He will next star in Lost Transmissions – recently premiered at TriBeca Film Festival, Hump, Highland Film Group’s Inheritance, alongside Lily Collins, and will lend his voice talents to the new series “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.”

Wilson is represented by United Talent Agency (UTA) and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Pegg is repped by Dawn Sedgwick Management and UTA.
