Amazon Studios has revealed that the critically acclaimed film, SUSPIRIA, is being brought to Prime Video on May 3rd. Those of us at Nightmarish Conjurings definitely recommend that if you have a Prime account and haven’t seen the film yet, go and watch the film as soon as it appears on Prime.
Our editor and founder, Shannon McGrew, had this to say about the film: “SUSPIRA is captivating, unforgiving, cataclysmic, soul-crushing, and audacious and I wouldn’t want it any other way. It may not be 100% perfect, but for me, it’s slight imperfections only enhance the masterful work that Guadagnino has created. This film is a must see and it’s yearning for you to succumb to its witchy ways.”
A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.
Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino steps behind the camera for the remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 classic which features a script by David Kajganich. SUSPIRIA stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and Jessica Harper of the original SUSPIRIA.
The score was composed by legendary singer/songwriter Thom Yorke of Radiohead.
