This morning, Disney surprised fans by dropping news that the sequel to 2014’s Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie, would be arriving in theaters this October with Jolie reprising the infamous role.

MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL once again centers on the complex relationship that Maleficent has with Aurora (Elle Fanning, who also returns to her previous role) which continues to be explored as they face new threats to the magical land of the Moors.

The film stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Juno Temple, Ed Skrein, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL will arrive in theateres nationwide October 18, 2019.
