[News] CAPTIVE STATE Motion Poster Embraces the Unsettling

Focus Features has released a brand new motion poster from their upcoming dystopian film, CAPTIVE STATE. Make sure you check it out below.

In the poster, we see what should be a symbol of lazy calm – a hula girl. However, the hula girl is off kilter. Half of her body is out of sync, barely hanging on but yet captive in its usual routine of hula-ing. She’s gradually falling apart in her own CAPTIVE STATE, but she keeps sticking to her routine.

Set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, CAPTIVE STATE explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.

From the director of Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, the upcoming sci-fi thriller starring John Goodman (Atomic Blonde, 10 Cloverfield Lane), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight, Native Son), Jonathan Majors (White Boy Rick, Hostiles), Colson Baker (Bird Box, The Dirt) and Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring, “Bates Motel) opens in theaters March 15th!
