THE SPIRAL is the latest horror short from director Mary C. Russell that focuses on a tormented young woman, Valerie (Arielle Brachfeld known for CHEMICAL PEEL and KNOCK) who escapes her life in a desolate desert town by driving to Vegas to get away from her abusive step-father, Saul (Jw Wiseman known for DEAD SEA and THE HUNTED). However, while on the road, Valerie takes a wrong turn and ends up stuck in a place called Spiral Road.
THE SPIRAL is adapted from the story "Valerie's Spiral" by horror author Jeremy Megargee (author of "Dirt Lullabies" and "Sweet Treats"). THE SPIRAL is written and directed by Mary C. Russell (Director of CARVED) and produced by Alexis Iacono (Producer of CALIFORNIA DREAMING and ANNIHILATION: THE LAST MAN) with Taylor Rogers producing alongside. Paul Stephen Edwards (Director of Photography of KNIFE PARTY and UGLY SWEATER PARTY) is bringing this beautiful genre film with fast cars and desert sunsets to life.
Mary C. Russell is a director that is currently on tour with ETHERIA FILM NIGHT - a female directors genre film festival - touring across the United States this year.
