YELLOW ROAD - A miniature dose of WTF from TOKYO GORE POLICE director Yoshihiro Nishimura

YELLOW ROAD

From Yoshihiro Nishimura

Nishi-Eizo, the Tokyo-based film production and special effects company from Yoshihiro Nishimura, is proud to announce today’s online release of YELLOW ROAD.  The surreal new short was written and directed by Nishimura, whose previous credits include TOKYO GORE POLICE, HELLDRIVER, THE ABCs OF DEATH, and the recent festival NINJA WAR OF TORAKAGE.

Shot completely without dialogue, YELLOW ROAD follows a blind warrior in modern-day Tokyo being followed by a trio of similarly-blind killers.  Realizing that her life is in danger, she turns the tables on her pursuers using the city’s “yellow roads” - a series of textured yellow tracks running throughout the metropolis that allow the blind to traverse the city on their own.

Embracing Nishimura’s hyper-stylized action and signature effects, the slapstick eight-minute short is sure to please fans of Japan’s most WTF director.

YELLOW ROAD stars Maki Mizui (MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD)
