Winners Announced for the 2016 Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival

It's been a week since the start of the 2016 edition of BLOOD IN THE SNOW CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL and social media is still buzzing.  This year's festival set records in films played with 33 (24 shorts - 9 features), industry panel attendees (a fun filled and packed afternoon at Duke's Refresher Bar) and a whopping 50% increase in film attendees for the entire weekend!

The "Bloodies" awards were handed out on Sunday night at Duke's Refresher by Senior Programmers Jason Tannis and Kirk Haviand with the list of award winners published on Monday morning.  The following is a full list of award winners and prizes for this year's festival. 

PRIZES:

Trinity Square Video
Best Feature Film Award - $600 worth of gear rental or media lab time
Best Short Film Award - $400 worth of gear rental or media lab time
Rising Star Award (best newcomer) - $250 worth of gear rental or media lab time

Hall Webber LLP
Best Feature Film Award - valued at $820
Jordan Nahmias from Hall Webber LLP has generously donated a legal consultation (up to two hours) for your film project.

GAT PR
Best Director - valued at $500
GAT PR has generously donated a two-hour public relations consultation prize.  This can be used by either obtaining advice on their current film or how to increase publicity for themselves or a future project.
